The Spiral tool can create create circular-shaped paths. Spiral objects are composed of a single open path that curves in clock wise or counter clockwise direction. the Spiral tool is grouped with the Polygon and Graph Paper tools. The properties of the Spiral tool in the property inspector include Spiral Revolutions, Symmetrical modes, Logarithmic modes, and a Spiral Expansion slider. The properties need to be set before drawing the spiral.
By default, all new spiral object are set Symmetrical. A Symmetrical spiral object is evenly spaced, whereas Logarithmic spirals expand with increasingly larger distances between revolutions.
