The Smart Drawing tool is used to draw freehand strokes that can be recognized and converted to basic shapes. Rectangles and ellipses are translated to native CorelDRAW objects; trapezoids and parallelograms are translated to Perfect Shapes objects; lines, triangles, squares, diamonds, circles, and arrows are translated to curve objects. An object is smoothed, if it is not converted to a shape. Objects and curves drawn with shape recognition are editable. In CorelDRAW, levels can be set to recognize shapes and convert them to objects, and the amount of smoothing applied to curves can also be specified. The Smart Drawing tool is available under Smart Fill tool flyout.
the amount of time that should elapse between making a pen stroke and the implementation of shape recognition can also be set.
When the Smart Drawing tool is selected, the Property bar displays options such a, Shape Recognition Level, Smart Smoothing Level and Outline Width. The thickness and line style of shape can be changed by using shape recognition, Corrections can also be made in the drawing.
